Xenophobia vs. Germophobia – Two Closely Related Disorders of the Mind

Xenophobia & germophobia are closely related.
Fear of the “foreign”.
Fear of the unknown.
Two different manifestations of the same general psychological failures.
Hence oftentimes a reason that exclusive groups are formed (aka “in-groups”).
Which then proceed to push & require Groupthink.
A “vaccination” from divergence.
Total conformity & obedience.

“Liberals” and “Conservatives” are far more like each other than either will ever admit.
They may choose slightly different paths towards the same destination, but they eventually end up at the same place.
In fear, isolation, protectionism, etc.
Amongst their “own kind”.
Asleep (a closing of the mind) in presumed “safety”.

Insecurity & uncertainty often beget fear.
Fear often begets anger & hatred.
Anger & hatred are often displaced & manifested as xenophobia & germophobia.
